(Photos of our activities for the day. Sorry malabo especially during the night time, I just used my phone I forgot my DSLR 😦 But the most important thing is we had fun. The memories are will always be in our hearts 🙂 hehe corny)

Just an hour or less from Alabang (if without heavy traffic), you will find Nuvali. This place is another booming galaan in the south and has become a favorite destination for our family if we want to go out-of-town ng hindi naman super layo. It’s near Tagaytay, if you’re taking SLEX, exit at Sta. Rosa, landmark is thmuch conspicuous Coca-Cola plant at the right side of the road. Just follow that road, about 20 mins (again if without traffic) you’ll see Nuvali at the left side of the road (if coming from south) across Crown Asia. It’s a nice place to spend the weekend. I’m a very family- oriented person, I like spending most of my time with the family and few close friends. And we are always on the lookout for a new place to enjoy our weekend although Nuvali and Tagaytay are usual destinations. What I like about the place is it’s for everybody. Whether you’re a family, group of friends, couple/s, etc…, you’ll certainly enjoy this place. There are many activities that you can choose from. When Nuvali was still new, what they have are only the small lake that you can feed ung mga koi fish, may biking and water taxi that you can enjoy at P30/head but you can also choose ung special ride. Minimum of 6 people multiply by P30.00 is P180.00. Maximum of 12 heads sa buong boat. Toddlers 2 yrs and below are free of charge. These activities are nice but not enough to spend the whole day with kaya madalas pumupunta pa kami ng Tagaytay noon. And dati, konti lang ang kainan dito. As far as I remember, the pioneers ata are Italianni’s, David’s Tea House tapos they have ung 7-11 Convenience Store. Now, the place is a food haven, with the extension of Solenad 1 & 2. The stores are also nice. This place is slowly becoming like Serendra albeit smaller. If you come now, you’ll see there are lots of construction being done. I’m not sure if its for mall/s or condo/s but I’m definitely looking forward to the development that will happen in the next few years.

So anyway, let me go on with the day’s activities. It’s a simple celebration, we just ate, roamed around the area, fed the kois, ate some more, rode the water taxi, enjoyed Timezone and took the thrilling 4×4 simulation ride. It was really fun and I can’t believe it pero I was still able to experience something new from Nuvali. Nagulat ako because I thought nothing would surprise me sa Nuvali since we usually frequent this place naman. I’ll tell you more about the activities later.

My birthday was last Monday, October 6 kaya pumalo ng declared holiday. As expected, madami pa ring tao and for lunch, we waited for 15mins to be seated at Chubby’s Ribs Shack. Puno ng tao at may waiting pa but my hubby knows how much I love ribs and steak that’s why he chose this very casual American fastfood instead of trying somewhere else na walang masyadong tao. I have learned something from him noon. He said that kapag maraming kumakain sa certain place, go try it. Either it’s very masarap or very cheap. If you’re lucky, it’s both cheap and masarap 🙂 I learned in the past that this is so true. So we decided to go for it. Very convincing din ung slogan nila, If it’s not burned, Momma did not cook it! Hehehe masarap nga naman ang may konting char 🙂 So earlier while waiting for our table, I checked the menu and learned that this place is more like a Tex-Mex fastfood. As much as possible, I stay away from Mexican food, not really a fan. But I had some experience naman before na hindi naman overpowering ung flavors kaya sabi ko sige na nga. Might as well try at maiba naman ang kainin namin. For starters, we ordered pulled pork nachos. It was just ok, I mean we had better nachos. For the mains, I ordered Steak Fajitas while Jun went for their special. They were both really heavy so we were full after the meal. The 2 kids did not eat kasi heavy pala talaga ang Mexican flavor, too spicy for the kids. Mukhang genuine Tex/Mex-style cooking talaga hahaha. Too much spices and salsa. Of course I ordered Fajitas kaya talagang automatic yun. But Jun’s order is the special and it’s pulled pork and ribs but the rice they serve is ung simmered with red beans and spices, super aromatic and parang pagkaing Indiano nga eh. But I know that this is Mexican style of cooking rice kaya I think naman authentic sya although don’t take my word for it. If you love Tex/Mex food, try eating at at this place and you be the judge 🙂 Btw, the funny part of the meal, Kiara would always complain about the smell ng place “Mommy, stinky”. We would just smile hehehe heavy kasi ung smell because of the food’s aroma. Anyway, at least like I said, it was a different experience. Though not fully satisfied, nabusog naman kami and I left the place happy because once again I realize I don’t like Mexican food and I’m happy because this experience made me remember why. Gulo ko noh? Hehehe. So, the kids ate pita bread and doughnut from Krispy Kreme. It’s so hard to feed the kids with proper food whenever we’re dining outside. They prefer to play or if they eat, ung mga matatamis lang. Usually, binabawi na lang namin ang kain nila sa house. Kaya pasubo subo na lang muna ng Ice cream and pica – pica ang mga bata habang nag-iikot.

After eating lunch, we checked the stores out. High end na rin ang mga stores, too expensive for me. I’m not into splurging mood at naubos na ang anda ko because of non-stop eating and splurging the past few weeks. Pinagagalitan na nga ako ng asawa ko hehe. Anyway, after roaming around, we bought ice cream and drinks from Robinsons, played at Timezone, booked for the boat ride, fed the kois, picture taking, ate the ice cream and drank soda and more picture taking. I was able to book ung boat ride kaya lang last trip na kami. I still went for it because everytime we go sa Nuvali, we never get to experience the boat ride because laging booked na for the whole day. Kaya while waiting, I let Kiara ran around the place and si Kyle naman is busy with his dede. Inaantok na rin sya but I thought he was waiting for the next activity kaya lumalaban sa tulog. Turns out I was right. Pagsakay namin, gising pa sya, after namin bumaba (it’s just 5mins na ride) tulog na pala ang baby ko hahaha. Napagod sa pamamasyal.

We were going back sa car ng makita ni Kiara ung mga bus and truck ride for kids. It’s P40.00 for 8 minutes na yun. Nung makalapit kami, I saw another ride but this time, it’s for adults. It’s a Simulation ride ng 4×4. Since wala namang pila dun at puno pa ang pila sa kiddie ride for Kiara, we took the 4×4 ride. I sounded brave but really I was scared to try it. Gusto ko lang sana maexperience but the ride really looks intimidating. Skeletal sya kaya you will see kung pano iuga ng ride ung mga nakasakay. When it’s my turn to ride, I was scared and half out of my wits. When the ride started, natakot na talaga ako kasi nakakalula. I don’t know why but for me the ride is like a short and shaky rollercoaster ride. I was going to ask the operator to stop the ride but I realized that saglit na lang yun and I’ll be extremely proud of myself if I finish it. A little while later and after lots of hits, the race stopped. As expected, last place pa rin ako haha. But I am super happy I finished the ride kahit kinabahan ako. It’s a different experience once again 🙂 After me, si Jun naman. He did a little better as expected, when it comes to driving but he is still at 8th place. I was surprised. I thought it would be easy for him to get in the 1st place. Sabi ko nga, sana nagmanual na lang sya kesa sa automatic setting. Nahirapan pa sya. Hehehe. After this, Kiara got to enjoy her ride. Then few minutes after, we said goodbye to Nuvali. It was a wonderful wonderful day. What can I still ask for?
